Many of us find ourselves living on an ash heap of nagging regrets, betrayed trust, past trauma, and devastating loss that is punctuating a profound sense of hopelessness and worthlessness. Our lives, our marriages, our families, and our ministries feel like a “waste place” with no prospect of change. Undoubtedly, in some measure, we can all relate.
But God is in the business of breathing hope and restoration into the place of darkest devastation. He majors in rebuilding broken things. He majors in transforming barrenness into fruitfulness. He majors in giving beauty for ashes.
God is calling wall builders in every generation. He wills to turn the waste places of our lives into a Garden of Eden for His Name’s sake (Ezekiel 36:35)!
