Special Edition for Pastors and Their Wives
This Counseling for LifeChange Seminar is a special edition series for pastors and their wives . For most of us in ministry, the weight and magnitude of counseling needs represented in our local churches can feel overwhelming and beyond our ability to meaningfully and effectively handle.
We can confidently believe in the sufficiency of the Bible while practically feeling that the Bible seems impotent and inferior to match the spiritual, mental, and emotional needs and clinical diagnoses with which we are confronted.
Because God designed the local church to be an emergency room for its patients, it is our desire to empower pastors and their wives with practical inspiration and direction on handling the hard cases in biblical counseling.
We will consider keys to effective counseling, where to start, how to win the ear of hostile and hurting people, and how to use your Bible powerfully and competently in your counseling ministry. This special addition of Counseling for LifeChange will feature several case studies designed to keep the workshop very practical, engaging, and interactive.

Ron Visser is the Lead Counselor of Precious Stones Biblical Counseling Ministries in Mooresville, Indiana. Ron holds an B.A. and an M.A. degree in Theology. He spent three years training in counseling at the International Center for Biblical Counseling of Indiana. For over 20 years, Ron has been involved in counseling ministry through various venues, helping children, teenagers, college students, and couples. In 2013, Ron began Precious Stones Biblical Counseling Ministries, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering with local churches to provide intensive counseling care to those in crisis on a donation basis. Precious Stones handles crisis cases including abuse trauma, sexual bondage, anger, fear, and depression, and family and marriage conflict. Precious Stones serves counseling needs nationwide. Ron frequently speaks on counseling issues around the country. His passion is inspiring and equipping others with a vision for helping hurting people in their scope of influence.
