One of life’s most precious and fragile gifts is the God-given gift of relationships. Relationships give us a place to belong, a place to feel loved, a place to grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally, and a place to serve toward a common goal. Every God-given relationship in our lives is a sacred stewardship that demands trust, transparency, loyalty, and nurture.

In a world of sin and selfishness, however, relationships are often undervalued and easily damaged through intentional and unintentional offenses. The resulting wounds are often reinforced through anger, resentment, retaliation, and retreat, with no clear pathway for healing. Amid the carnage of sin and of wounded relationships rises a plea in every conflict for reconciliation with God, reconciliation with the truth, and reconciliation with fellow man.

Christ, the Divine Reconciler, has commissioned us to be His ministers of reconciliation in a wounded world. This ministry of reconciliation is not a human work to be forced or manipulated with carnal weapons of argument or peace at all cost. It is often not a simple work of a day or of a single conversation.

THIS MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION IS A DIVINE WORK!  It is a ministry of love, a ministry of grace, and a ministry of patience. It is the ministry of Christ in us…through us…to compel adversaries to God, and to mobilize the miracle of transforming wounded relationships for a cause that is far bigger than ourselves!

The Spiritual Life Conference provides practical help on how to be an effective ministers of reconciliation. May God use you in the ministry of restoring wounded relationships!
